Please email us with restaurant reviews, let everybody know what you thought of the food.

My husband and I had pre-booked a table for two for Christmas Eve 1999. We were warmly received and there was a good choice on the menu. We chose a selection of starters ~onion bhajee, somosas, popadoms etc. which arrived within five minutes. Our main dishes (King Prawn Kurma and King Prawn Madras) were then presented before we had even finished our starters. It would have been nice to have a gap between courses. We could not fault the quality or quantity food. In fact the portions if anything were too big leaving little room for desert. We tried the house white wine but I would not recommend it. Although it was dry, as requested, it did not have a good aroma and was harsh on the palette.
Overall the meal took less than an hour which was disappointing as we had hoped to make an evening of it.

Rating:
Lots of good food at affordable prices.
Somewhere to grab a quick bite pre-cinema, not for a relaxing meal out.
Avoid house wine.

The take-away has gone down hill since my first visit 2002. Ordered Chicken Korma & Motor Panner and it was sitting in a 2″ layer of grease when I got it home. The rest of the meal (accepting the rice) was the same and not very hot. Average waiting time for take away; 45mins. When I arrived to pick it up the restaurant smelt of farts and the kitchen looked dirty.

Standard Little Chef fare. Inside the staff are very friendly but the ambience is utilitarian. Omlette and Salad was Ok, Olympic Breakfast was good. Plaice and chips was served up with the usual tasteless chips and dried up frozen peas and anorexic fish. Coffee was served by the jug with enough for two cups but tasted like cheap instant brew.

I think the Little Chef must have been a real “little Chef”, they must have been too short to see the food that they were preparing because it was real naff with greasy chips. All of it was too expensive and cold. The childrens portions were too small however, the adult meals were large enough.
The Little Chef should just charge £1 for the toy and give people meals from Burger King next door and save everyone the agro.

My family tried the newish Pizza delivery place the other night. It was very good, the Pizza was piping hot and the topping very tasty and plenty of it. They also do a good range of side dishes. Good price too!

We use Pizza Zone quite regularly as they are one of the few local restaurants who deliver to your door. Their Pizzas are very good and they always deliver when promised (Usually 20 minutes to half an hour but you are warned if it will be longer at busy times) I recommend them for lazy Friday nights.

Why do McDonalds bother having a Drive-Thru? whenever you place an order you are told ‘sorry its not ready, please go and park and we will bring it out to you’ last week my daughters and I had to wait 20mins for our order, they said they were sorry but because it was lunch time they were very busy….well excuse me but surely they should expect to be busy at lunch time and be prepared!!!!
Linda.

Hopeless, everytime I have been there you wait for ages as they never have anything cooked and this is late morning during term time!! Some kind soul had stuffed a french fry up the spout of the Ketchup dispenser and had left “Bangers and Mash” in the lavs. Cheap and cheer full, better class of food at the Maximum Diner
Riz & Chips

We have eaten there a couple of times and found the food good and the staff friendly, can recommend the ham and eggs … very nice! The desserts are lovely, and the cheesecake is to die for!!

Webmaster: I have been told that this new take away is very good. They specialise in Cantonese, Peking and Szechuan style. Set meals start at £4.80 for one person
