Group ukulele lessons are to begin in Uckfield on Thursday, June 19, 2014, with people invited to take part in a free trial session on the first day.

Ukuleles will be provided for every student and the lessons will take place at Uckfield Community Technology College in the IT6 ROOM from 7-8pm.

The classes are being launched by Steve Gladman of the B Sharp Guitar & Ukulele School who is working with Alex Butler, well known as a guitar teacher in primary schools in the Uckfield area and founder of the blues band Red Butler.

Mr Gladman said: “These exciting instruments are easy to learn. After just a few lessons the whole group can be expected to play and perform together, some picking out the chords and others playing the melody. A ukulele orchestra sounds amazing.”

The following week on Thursday, 26th June, B Sharp Guitar & Ukulele School will run Part 1 of the beginner’s course for 7 weeks which will be £56. The course will cover a range of songs and styles from classics to modern ukulele tunes. The classes will be suitable for people aged 16 upwards, age is no barrier.

If you would like to learn to play the ukulele and take advantage of the free trial lesson please contact Mr Gladman on 01903 600114 or email info
